Walden Big Band
A local amateur big band formed over 15 years ago featuring 5 saxophones, 4 trumpets 4 trombones and a rhythm section of Drums, Bass, Piano and Guitar.
The music varies from standards played by the big bands of Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Count Basie and Duke Ellington but also feature vocal standards from the American songbook.

This will include an exhibition of sculpture by Val Bunn, whose work will be exhibited in Dorset House Garden later in the year, and also on display will be the Giant from "Sparks Will Fly"'!

A wonderfully detailed view of the life and times of reggae legend Bob Marley, from the hillside Jamaican shack, where he grew up, to the Bavarian clinic where he spent his last weeks. Exhibition of Art & Craft with Workshops 
Throughout the day there will be an exhibition and demonstrations of Art & Craft. Many of the artists will be running workshops and so you can try your hand at pottery, indigo dyeing, printmaking, textiles and painting. Charges may apply to cover the cost of materials used in the workshops .
11am - 4pm, on the Common
Drum & Brass Workshop
1:00 - 4:00 Castle Grounds
Open to 15 musicians who play brass and can bring their own instruments, and 15 people willing to play drums (which will be provided). The workshop will run for the afternoon and create a marching band, which will culminate in a march onto the Common. The activity is free, but there wil be a £5 deposit to reserve a place at this event which is refundable at the event. The event is open to over 14's. Numbers are limited.
