Welcome to the Festival
The Arts Trust is delighted to present its third Arts Festival for Saffron Walden. This year we have a wide range of concerts, plays, and workshops for all the community to enjoy. The festival is a truly collaborative community project, and events during the day are free of charge except where indicated. This year the activities on Saturday and Sunday will take place on the common under a number of marquees. There will be actvities and entertainment for all ages, so bring a picnic and make a day of it ! Evening attractions include two plays, one by The Pantaloons and the other by the Clavering Players. Saffron Walden’s Got Talent promises to be an outstanding evening of family entertainment by talented local acts, indomitable judges and a cheeky compere. Blue Harlem, a nationally acclaimed jazz band, will play the very best in hot, toe tapping vintage music from the 40s and 50s and Saffron Screen will put on a special screening for the festival. So make a weekend of it and bring the family as there's something for all ages to discover and celebrate! PantaloonsThis amazing local theatre company will be performing The Importantance Of Being Earnest, in their unique way. Look forward to a fantastic evening of entertainment. Saffron Walden's Got TalentHave you always dreamed of stardom? Well, Saffron Walden's Got Talent hits town on Saturday 9th June! With its very own panel of local celebrity judges, this looks set to be an uproarious night of fun. We have a evening packed with local acts of all ages performing in the Festival marquee on the Common. Tickets are on sale at the Tourist Information Centre. Blue HarlemNationally acclaimed band, Blue Harlem, play hot, foot tapping jazz. Enjoy their irresistible rhythms on Sunday 10th June in our special Festival marquee on the Common.
